Besiktas 'to rival Arsenal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan'

Turkish champions Besiktas have reportedly joined Arsenal in the race to sign out-of-favour Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Mkhitaryan has made just one Premier League start for United since early November after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford, and he was once again left out of the squad for Monday's 3-0 win over Stoke City. United manager Jose Mourinho admitted after that match that it was "possible" Mkhitaryan could leave the club this month, with Arsenal understood to be the frontrunners for his signature as part of a player-plus-cash deal for Alexis Sanchez.
