Report: Burnley interested in loan move for Arsenal defender Rob Holding

Burnley have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Arsenal defender Rob Holding on loan in January. The 22-year-old has struggled for game time at the Emirates Stadium this season, making just seven Premier League appearances. According to the Daily Mail, Clarets boss Sean Dyche is keen to strengthen his defensive options after a run of eight matches without a win and sees Holding as an apt reinforcement. The report goes on to claim that Gunners manager Arsene Wenger will only let Holding leave in the current transfer window if the club manage to sign Jonny Evans from West Bromwich Albion. Burnley have already signed Aaron Lennon on a loan deal from Everton in January.
