Is the ref scared of penalties or something?

A frantic first half between Arsenal and Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday saw plenty of talking points despite the lack of goals, with referee Michael Oliver deciding to wave away no fewer than four credible penalty appeals from the two London rivals. First there was Oscar being taken down by Hector Bellerin, then the Brazilian was walloped by Gunners goalkeeper David Ospina. Cesc Fabregas was booked for a dive in the box, while Arsenal had the final penalty shout turned down after Mr Oliver rejected claims that Gary Cahill had handled in the area.
