Carlo Ancelotti 'offered Italy manager's job'

Carlo Ancelotti has been formally approached to take over as the next manager of the Italy national side, according to a report. The 58-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by Bayern Munich in September, four months after winning the Bundesliga title in his maiden campaign at the club. Ancelotti has not been short of offers since departing the Allianz Arena, while both Arsenal and Chelsea are said to have placed the experienced boss on their list of candidates to succeed Arsene Wenger and Antonio Conte respectively.
