Premier League confirm six positive coronavirus tests as stars return

The Premier League have confirmed six unnamed people from three different clubs have tested positive for coronavirus ahead of today's return to training. Players and staff of all 20 clubs were checked last week before clubs voted on Monday to return to training today. A total of 748 Covid-19 tests were carried out. Those players and or staff will now self isolate for seven days. A statement on the Premier League website read: 'The Premier League can today confirm that, on Sunday 17 May and Monday 18 May, 748 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19.
