Arsenal confirm Diaby exit

Abou Diaby's Arsenal career has come to an end after the club confirmed they have decided not to offer the midfielder a new contract. The 29 -year-old French international signed for the Gunners from Auxerre in January 2006 and went on to make 180 first team appearances. As has been well documented Diaby has endured a series of long-term injuries since having his leg broken by Sunderland’s Dan Smith five months after signing for the club. In the last four years he’s managed just 22 appearances for Arsenal.
