Arsenal & Tottenham transfer target will not play for European giants as switch looks imminent

Thiago Motta looks to be nearing an exit from PSG as speculation concerning his future intensifies. The Metro reported last week that Arsenal were planning a move for the Italy international, having missed out on a move to sign Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, who ultimately moved to Manchester United [BBC]. Arsene Wenger had also been linked with moves for Giannelli Imbula [London24] and Geoffrey Kondogbia [Independent], but the Ligue 1 pair ultimately opted to join FC Porto and Inter Milan respectively.
