Chuba Akpom determined to break into Arsenal first team

Chuba Akpom has claimed that he is using his loan spell at Hull City as a springboard to the Arsenal first team. The 20-year-old joined the Championship side on loan from the Gunners in August to get more minutes under his belt. Akpom made his senior debut for Arsenal at the age of 17, ten years after joining the club's academy, but he is yet to cement a place in the first-team squad. "I think the loan system is there to build you up as a player," Akpom told Sky Sports News. "Harry Kane will probably tell you that most of his loans made him into the player he is now.
