Arsenal defender could be ruled out until 2017 after latest injury

Carl Jenkinson may be ruled out for the remainder of the year after suffering a torn cruciate ligament in his knee, according to this report from Football Insider, with a lengthy layoff and rehabilitation likely to hinder his progress. The talented defender who has been with the Gunners for four and half years since joining from Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2011, has been with West Ham United this campaign after a stellar loan spell last season under Sam Allardyce, but unfortunately has been returned to north London to seek treatment.
