Red Card For Flamini Would Have Been Harsh – Arsene Wenger

It has been revealed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that a red-card for midfielder Mathieu Flamini would have been harsh following his two-footed tackle on Bournemouth's Dan Gosling. The incident occurred in the eighth minute of the game when the score was still 0-0. Referee Kevin Friend only showed a yellow to the Frenchman for his dangerous tackle which Wenger feels was the correct decision. The Frenchman told Sky Sports: 'Honestly, live I thought it was a foul for us, because I thought he was first to the ball. 'Was his foot high? Certainly, because the referee gave a foul.
