Former Arsenal striker axed from Bundesliga giants

Nicklas Bendtner will have to start shopping for some new real estate because he has been axed from German giants VfL Wolfsburg. According to BBC Sport, Wolfsburg and Bendtner mutually agreed to end his stay with the Bundesliga outfit a full year early due to the Danish striker's inability to meet expectations. 'Both Nicklas and ourselves had high hopes of his engagement at VfL Wolfsburg, but after two years we have had to ascertain that the expectations were neither fulfilled for him, nor for us, and a continued cooperation made no sense for either side,' Wolfsburg director of sport Klaus Allofs said.
