Arsenal launch £25m transfer bid for title-winning starlet, club respond

According to reports from Calcio Mercato, Arsenal have seen a £25million transfer bid for Daniele Rugani rejected by Juventus. The 6 foot 3 centre-half is rated as one of Italian football's most promising youngsters, having kicked off his senior career with two affluent campaigns at Empoli before making 17 Serie A appearances for the Old Lady as they claimed last season's title. It was reported last weekend that Everton had launched an ambitious transfer bid for Italy U21, who has picked up an impressive 50 youth caps for Azzuri, leading to rumours of Arsenal also expressing an interest in Rugani's services.
