Announced: Just One Arsenal Star Makes The Cut For England

Newly appointed England manager Sam Allardyce announced his first squad on Sunday after taking over from Roy Hodgson's embarrassing exit from Euro 2016 earlier this summer. A list of 23 players has been announced in which only Theo Walcott has been called up from Arsenal’s side. Both Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were left out of the squad named for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Slovakia. Wilshere, who was included in the Euro 2016 squad for England has missed out this time due to lack of game-time, but Chamberlain who has appeared in all three games of the Premier League this season apparently didn’t impress Allardyce enough to receive the call-up.
