Big blow with Welbeck ruled out through injury, but Sterling doubt a boost

  England manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed Danny Welbeck picked up an injury in England's 4-0 win over Lithuania last night and had ruled him out of next weeks friendly with Italy alongside Raheem Sterling. The Arsenal forward enjoyed a solid runout for the Three Lions scoring one and setting up another, and was a constant thorn in the Lithuanian's backside, threatening their defence with his pace. His performance certainly bode well for his inclusion against Liverpool on Easter Saturday, however it appears he may miss the tie depending on the severity of the injury.
