Arsene Wenger admits Arsenal will be 'second best' if they enter Jonny Evans bidding war with Manchester City

Arsene Wenger has conceded Arsenal would have no chance of signing Jonny Evans if Manchester City made a move. The Gunners and City are being linked with bids for the West Brom captain this month as they seek defensive reinforcements. Wenger has refused to confirm or deny his interest in Evans but said that, if it came down to a straight fight with City for his signature, there would only be one winner. “We don’t have an agreement with anybody.
