Manchester United 'make contact over Alassane Plea deal'

Manchester United have reportedly opened talks over a possible deal to sign Alassane Plea from Borussia Monchengladbach this summer. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made the signing of a new centre-forward one of his main priorities for the upcoming window, having seen his side linked to a plethora of players in January before eventually bringing in Odion Ighalo on loan. The form of Plea has attracted the attention of a number of top European clubs, and Sky Germany reports that United chief Ed Woodward has now made contact to gauge his interest in a move to Old Trafford.
