Executive’s apology at training had Premier League stars laughing ‘in disbelief’

The threat of the European Super League seems to be over: or, at least it is, for now. However, the bridges that had been burnt between the playing squad and boardroom are now having to be rebuilt at the 'Big Six' - according to Sky Sports News' Kaveh Solhekol. He tweeted: 'Executives from [the] six breakaway clubs have been saying sorry to their own players. 'One exec received a frosty reception when he arrived at his club’s training ground to apologise to his first-team squad. Players’ reaction was a mixture of anger, disbelief and, in some cases, laughter.' It remains unclear which club he was speaking about.
